About
This site lists applications (in source or binary form) created for the GNOME Desktop Environment (Unix/Linux) and also all GTK+ applications (Unix/Linux/Windows & SkyOS). All Gnome/GTK+ bindings & wrappers are welcome and their applications too (e.g. wxWidgets, pyGTK, GTK#, Java SWT etc, etc). Commercial, closed source software is also as welcome as open source software is, as long as they relate to GTK+ and/or Gnome.
Please note that GnomeFiles runs independently of the Gnome Project and software being listed here does not constitute an official endorsement from the Gnome community.

History
This site was originally coded in 2001 to host AtheOS and QNX software. It went live briefly as "kamidake.org" for AtheOS software but as AtheOS died out, the site and engine was taken offline for almost 3 years. Now, it is back up serving the Syllable OS community (using an older version of this engine). The front-end design is heavily inspired by the fantastic Bebits.com (if it ain't broken don't fix it: BeBits has nailed down a great interface), while the back-end for developers features a new, simple design.
