| About Geomorph |
A height field editor for Linux
Geomorph produces 16-bit PNG height fields from 128x128 to 4096x4096 pixels, usable in Povray. Terrains are generated from subdivision or surface addition algorithms, allowing a fine control of frequencies.
Geomorph provides tools for eroding, stratifying, smoothing the terrains, a fractal pen for digging valleys or raising mountains, and pens for drawing craters, faults and cracks. Version 0.30 adds "wind blowing" tools, which produce dunes and ripples.
Geomorph is available in English, French and German. Tutorials and guides are provided in English and French.
Predefined Povray scenes and textures are also provided. Their use is described in the documentation.
Requirements
This application requires GTK+ version 2.4.x.
