A GTK image viewer specifically designed to handle comic books.
Comix is a user-friendly, customizable image viewer. It is specifically designed to handle comic books, but also serves as a generic viewer. It reads images in ZIP, RAR or tar archives (also gzip or bzip2 compressed) as well as plain image files. It is written in Python and uses GTK+ through the PyGTK bindings.
Requirements
This application requires GTK+ version 2.12.x.

Comix needs Python 2.4, PyGTK 2.12 and PIL (Python Imaging Library) 1.1.5 or newer to function.
To use the library you need pysqlite (which is usually included in the standard library for Python 2.5 and later).
You also need either the unrar or the rar program from RARLAB installed if you wish to read RAR (.cbr) archives.

This is a bug fix release that solves some issues with previous versions. Most importantly, it applies a workaround to what appears to be a bug in some GTK+ versions, that could cause Comix to crash.
